Kitchen Civils invests in new Hydraulic Excavator

As part of our continued expansion and development programme, we have invested in a brand new Komatsu PC138US-10 Hydraulic Excavator. This new machinery joins the expanding Kitchen Civils fleet at our base in East Yorkshire, and will be used in the delivery of projects nationwide.

Powerful, efficient and versatile, the Komatsu PC138US-10 has been designed with jobsite safety in mind, with a host of features to protect operators and minimise risks to the workforce onsite.

Another key feature of the machinery is its ultra-short tail swing, which makes it ideal for supporting our work in confined areas, including projects on roadways, bridges and in urban environments.

The investment is part of an on-going expansion process, as we look to increase our capacity and capability, whilst maintaining the highest quality standards across all our operations nationwide.

Jimmy Kitchen, managing director of Kitchen Civils explains:

“We’re investing heavily for the future, and this new hydraulic excavator is a key piece of equipment that will enable us to develop the quality and scope our service offering for our customers, both now and in the future.

“Our company has a reputation for exacting safety standards in everything we do, and the PC138US-10 provides our expert workforce with the confidence and capability to maintain these across a wide range of working environments.

“This is the first stage in a wider fleet investment programme, as we continue to increase our capacity to cater for an ever-growing number of public and private sector clients.”

The Komatsu PC138US-10 is environmentally friendly, with a fuel-efficient engine and hydraulic system, alongside advanced efficiency technology to maximise power, whilst minimising harmful emissions. It also features an in-built safety system, designed to prevent fuel spillages.
